The tradition of the Centre Harbor Historical Society, during monthly presentations, is to yield the floor to Roger Kelley for a joke. In his passing we would like to think of the laughter and insight he has brought to us over the years. Here now is the audio recordings of Roger as he made us all smile. He will be missed.

Our youngest member, Matt Stearns, paid tribute to Roger Kelley in our October 2010 meeting. Here is his speech:
Excellent humor by Rog. I was saddened to learn last evening of his passing. Indeed he will be missed. My lady friend who currently works for mr. Dane and his wife and I came to listen to his stories last evening and enjoyed it very much. I would love to sit and go one on one with him talking old times in town. He is certainly on the same page as I about changes in town and not always positive ones. I enjoy coming over from Meredith as I started school in the building and love the place.
