Honoring All Veterans

veteran_27s_20dayOn Wednesday, November 11, 2009, the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery held a ceremony to thank all those serving or who have served our country.

If you were not able to attend you can still hear the remarks given by many including Chaplin David Grover, Governor John Lynch, Honorable NH Congressman Paul Hodes, and guest speaker Major Rodney Freeman.

You Should Have Been There!

Last night we had a special time hearing about Afghanistan. Paul Mayerson had lived there for about 10 years and gave us a clear view about the population and people. He answered many questions from the audience.

Next meeting is Thursday November 19th. It is the annual meeting with the election of 2010 officers. Matt Stearns will also give us his view of Japan from his “People to People” experiences this pasted summer. Many of you helped him as sponsors.

The November meeting will be the last meeting until next April. We have the programs and speakers all lined up for the season and are looking forward to the new year.

Don’t forget to visit the web site often to keep in touch over the long winter. We will be posting the meeting schedule soon and minutes from prior meetings.
